2024 was wrapped with an 11% Q4 funding rebound (compared to Q3), hitting $8.5 billion. Add to that a 33% year-over-year jump in median FinTech deal size to $4 million, and suddenly, the outlook doesn't seem so bleak.
New markets - LATAM, South Africa — are emerging, bringing fresh challenges but even bigger possibilities. The rules are shifting. A safe, well-designed app? That's the baseline. To stand out, you need to go further.
Greatness comes from breaking conventions or perfecting them. Like bold visuals, unconventional UX, or a fresh approach to interaction design. The best fintech interfaces find the balance between avant-garde and intuitive, between modern aesthetics and industry trust, between pushing boundaries and staying reliable.
iOS, Android, Web
Saw this one coming? Of course. Revolut is the Real Madrid of football, the Leo DiCaprio of acting, the Chanel of fashion — a gold standard for modern mobile banking UX. We often use it as one of our go-to references when designing fintech apps and websites.
Sleek, fast, and packed with data, its dashboards feel effortless. Layered navigation makes switching between accounts, currencies, and crypto seamless. Color-coded categories, buttery-smooth animations, and sharp microinteractions turn complex finance into an intuitive, almost addictive experience.
Web
A masterclass in data visualization. This is how you make a dashboard dense but intuitive — where complex data feels effortless to navigate. It's a flawless balance of usability and analytics-heavy UI, built for professionals who need clarity at a glance.
They're developer-first — APIs, docs, dashboards — but every touchpoint is crafted with product design in mind, not just back-office functionality. It's not just about tools. It's about experience. The way we approach every project at Goodface.
And the branding? That's how you look premium and global. No gimmicks. No unnecessary playfulness. Just trust, elegance, and authority — exactly what FinTech demands.
iOS, Android
But sometimes, you give FinTech what it demands — and then break the rules entirely. And that's ok. As long as you have something worth offering.
Their design leans into a warm, lifestyle-driven aesthetic — a rarity in FinTech. Instead of the usual corporate polish, they go for cozy, aspirational vibes — the kind you'd expect from a wellness or premium consumer brand. And guess what? It works.
The color palette? Trustworthy, inviting, approachable. The overall impression? A financial platform that feels less like a bank and more like a brand you'd want in your daily life.
This bold shift isn't just about looks — it's about reshaping user expectations. And for those seeking a more human, user-friendly financial experience, it's a game-changer.
iOS, Android, Web
Another rock-n-roller in the game. Using Robinhood feels less like traditional finance and more like scrolling through Instagram — intuitive gestures, real-time feedback, and microinteractions that just click.
It flips the switch on what investing feels like. The UI is clean and visually calm, yet full of just the right motion where it matters. Complex data is served up in ways even first-time investors can follow. Smooth swipeable charts, gamified UX touches, and a clear visual hierarchy — everything points to clarity without the clutter.
iOS, Android, Web
This one hits you with sleek minimalism, but it doesn't stop there. Vivid sticks in your mind with bold branding — soft gradients, rich purples, and 3D-style illustrations that feel fresh without being flashy. The UI is clean, the design system is visually rich but never overwhelming.
Its segmented navigation (Pockets, Timeline, Rewards, etc.) feels intuitive and native to iOS. Visual analytics is on point. It does what any great FinTech app should — makes complex data digestible in a scroll.
Unlike enterprise-heavy players like Revolut or Stripe, Vivid doesn't need to flex that way. It knows its crowd — millennial and Gen Z users casually managing money or dipping into investing. And it speaks their language: pocket metaphors, gamified flows, animated savings goals, stock-back rewards. All wrapped in a friendly, elegant experience.

Uniswap isn't afraid that it's a crypto tool. Instead, it embraces it, but in a warm and friendly way, using playfully onboarding illustrations or fun emojis that highlight techy adge but at the same time don't lose clarity.
Bold visual language, punchy DeFi aesthetics, and a palette of pinks, magentas, and pastel gradients that are anything but forgettable.
The interface is minimal in the best way: clean layouts, wide breathing space, and zero distractions. It keeps you focused on what matters — swapping, sending, and buying. Even if you're new to crypto, the learning curve's gentle thanks to thoughtful onboarding and real-world language. No jargon walls here.
The app is approachable, with subtle motion, playful illustrations, and emoji sprinkles that strike a balance between fun and functional. It's DeFi, but make it human.

This one's a masterclass in calm confidence. Soft pastels, editorial vibes, and just the right amount of polish, Wealthsimple proves that finance doesn't have to look cold or corporate to feel trustworthy.
The onboarding feels less like a banking app, more like flipping through a beautifully designed lifestyle mag. But it's not just pretty — it's smart. Complex topics like investment tiers and interest rates are broken down with intuitive sliders, tooltips, and visual metaphors that guide you without overwhelming.
It's one of the most emotionally intelligent, aesthetically mature experiences in FinTech. Wealthsimple makes personal finance feel approachable, human, and even a little rewarding - all without sacrificing clarity, trust, or functionality.
Web
A moody, minimalist stage for investment storytelling. Despite handling a sea of charts and diagrams, the UI stays clean, letting the numbers speak without noise while still staying minimal and easy to navigate. The interface leans into a rich dark mode that enhances data legibility and reduces cognitive load during longer research sessions.
Here, data becomes an emotionally engaging experience. Fey's clever use of motion, light, and color transforms raw numbers into visual, cinematic storytelling for investors.

And, of course, we had to mention the standout of Ukrainian FinTech. Monobank is personality-first to its core. With a cat mascot, witty microcopy, and playful emoji use, banking turns into something that feels casual and human. What's normally cold and transactional feels more like getting a message from a friend.
The UI is clean and intentionally structured — swipeable cards keep navigation simple and snappy without overwhelming the user.
But where Mono really shines is gamification. From cashback progress bars to nudges and even dressing up your cat mascot for hitting financial goals, the app turns habit-forming into something surprisingly fun. It builds positive financial behavior through playful design.
So yes, FinTech can be fun without losing its power. Just look at Mono.

And finally, the FinTech design we're extra proud of. Goodface agency's brainchild — Magnetiq Bank.
It nails the balance between confidence and modernity. The identity reflects the essence of a brand — magnetic collaboration between the bank and its clients — and that concept carries through every touchpoint.
The visual language leans into B2B authority without slipping into corporate coldness. Clean iconography softens the tone, and the UI brings a traditional banking space into a modern, user-first world.
Onboarding flows are frictionless, sleek, and conversion-focused. Magnetiq is all about a balance of professionalism and personality — serious infrastructure, wrapped in a sharp, stylish interface.
So yeah, there's no single way to stand out in FinTech. You can flip the game with a rebellious edge or master the classics with golden-standard polish. Both work when they're done right.
